About Us

Our Story

Mambe Blanket Company was established in 1999 by Matt and Margaret. Living in the Pacific Northwest, we were often faced with wet ground when exploring the outdoors, so we designed a blanket to keep us dry and comfortable no matter how wet the ground was. We experimented with many different materials and construction techniques until we found the best combination, resulting in a super-warm, soft, blanket that is both 100% waterproof and durable enough to withstand many years of regular use and machine washing.   We had a wonderful product that people loved.  Now we needed a catchy name for our little business... we landed on "MAMBE," short for Matt And Margaret's Blankets Extraordinaire!

Our company has grown over the years and we developed additional products for both outdoor adventures and indoor living.  We create products that make our life easier, whether it's staying comfortable in the outdoors or finding peace of mind with the protection of costly furniture at home. We love to hear from our extended family of Mambe customers for inspiration, feedback, and suggestions for ways we can continue to improve Mambe products.
